At the KIT - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Campus North - the National Large-scale Laboratory of the Helmholtz Association I am a member of the Institut für Kernphysik. The air shower experiments KASCADE and KASCADE-Grande as well as the LOPES project for measuring the radio emission in air showers are the home of my working day. In addition I participate at the Pierre Auger Experiment (german webpage).
Presently I am spokesperson of the KASCADE-Grande experiment, chairperson of the LOPES steering committee, German task leader of the Pierre-Auger radio efforts AERA, and head of the KASCADE-Grande and LOPES group in Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe. In 2008, in co-work with Tim Otto Roth, we set-up an Art & Science Cooperation: COSMIC REVELATION , which is a lightbased artwork for a visualization of (KASCADE) air showers.Here are the ERASMUS lectures given in Bucharest April 2008: pdf
